ITS Help Desk: LSU Overview

General Information

The ITS Help Desk is the primary customer interface for information, access and assistance related to the services provided by our organization. ITS' Help Desk is committed to offering an exceptional support experience for the campus community and is ready to assist faculty, staff and students with any ITS related need with services that range from account operations to in-depth technical support. The Help Desk can be contacted through various distinct avenues.

Eligibility & Delivery Time

Available To:             LSU Faculty, Students, Staff, Prospective Students, Alumni, Retirees, and Affiliates.

Delivery Time:          1-6 Business Days.
 

Request Assistance

1. Submit a Footprint Request.

2. E-mail the Help Desk at helpdesk@lsu.edu.

3. Chat On-line with a Help Desk Analyst.  (Internet connection required.)

It is called a "Remote Program" because Help Desk Analysts, with the permission of the customer, can remotely view their desktop and share joint control of the keyboard & mouse while guiding them to solve their issue.  This live and hands-on approach to troubleshooting is provided by the ITS Help Desk.

   *Customers can still report emergencies and outages 24 X 7.  This number rings to the Network Operations Center (NOC) when the Help Desk is not open.
