LSU provides a web based client for free access to the LSU mainframe for authorized users. This client, called Host on Demand, is a Java based client that will run on most computing platforms. The Host-on-Demand client defined for LSU faculty/staff use includes a display session and an FTP client.

Description
LSU provides a web based client for free access to the LSU mainframe for authorized users. This client, called Host on Demand, is a Java based client that will run on most computing platforms. The Host-on-Demand client defined for LSU faculty/staff use includes a display session and an FTP client. The clients can be downloaded and used from anywhere, but they are locked down such that they will only connect back to the LSU mainframe.
A Java runtime environment such as Sun java is required.   See the help information on the HOD web page.   
The Host-on-Demand service will be available 24x7 except during scheduled/announced maintenance windows.
